I Won't Let You Go

This poem I wrote on the 5 July 2011. It was inspired by the song of Rascall Flats. I remember i was watching the last show of Oprah where they sand this song, and the words couldnt leave me as it played on going in my mind. It was also the same time someone very close to my heart has been going through a hard time. She was very special to me and this is the poem i wrote for her.

I Won't Let You Go

As I'm writing these words.
I'm tearing up as I'm watching.
The person I love suffer from.
Slight amnesia after losing her last
Relative, it hurts my heart to see her
Like this.
We all have storms,
We all go through the dark passages,
But know this,
You're not alone in this.
There's my shoulder,
There's my hand hold onto it.
There's hope for us all,
Honey it hurts me so much,
But it finds us all,
We try to stop the rain,
But when it does rain it pours.
But,I won't let you drown.
This time I'm jumping into
That ocean of blue,
To reel out my hand,
Because I will stand by you.
I won't let you go.
It's an ache that's gonna be
Inside you right now.
I won't let you go,
I will stand by you I'll fight with you.
You're lost and feel alone,
But you're not alone.
I'm gonna stand by you,
I'll dry your eyes,
Make it all go away,
You won't fall not while I'm
Here too catch you.
You're gonna make it,
Because I'm gonna stand by you.
And help you through.
I'll never let you go.

What a wonderful, heartfelt poem. Sad and yet filled with support, too.

So sensitive and beautifully expressed breavement. I'm going through something like this right now as well. Life is so fragile.
