Hold That Dream

Hold that dream

Hold onto it
Because it is yours
For taking.

Hold onto your hope
Because nobody can
Take it from you.

Hold onto the love
That completes the dreams
That is within you.

Always remember
Hold that dream.

2013 April PAD Challenge: Day 4

For today’s prompt, take the phrase “Hold That (Blank),” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and write the poem. Possible titles include “Hold That Thought,” “Hold That Space,” “Hold That Poem,” or whatever else holds your attention.

Unknowingly

Unfortunately a world filled with unknowing
Things that is upon the realms of each person
Trudging through life
Yet not knowing how to get through the current storm

As we are facing life with a lot of unexpectancy
I know some are longing to know yet tentative
At the same time not knowing
How to ask there lover, there friends
The impossible question.

How do you see me?
As a tentative grown up always trudging
Through life dreaming of yesteryears
Are a matured individual with a complexity

That sometimes the answers we tentatively
Seek somewhere else are given for us already.
Because through great knowing that unknowing
Can become a great experience in just by being expectant.

2013 April PAD Challenge: Day 3

For today’s prompt, write a tentative poem. The poem could be about a tentative date, a tentative person, a tentative situation. The narrator could be tentative. The subject could be tentative.

Stargazing Love

My imagination drifts with thoughts of you
Far away in the Milky Way.
Its heaven up here as I look into your eyes,
The brightness of your eyes shines like
A diamond that envelopes me from deep within.

I play with the light as it comes through
A beautiful form a face of a goddess
Brightening up my heart as it sets me
A light twinkling stars up in heaven glittering.

You give my imagination new life, new hope
Of coming undone, your kisses on fire
As it burns deep within me to hold you close
For many more decades to come.

My imagination drifts with only thoughts of you
Close by for my hands to meet yours.

2013 April PAD Challenge: Day 2

Today’s prompt is a Two-for-Tuesday prompt. For those new to the challenge, you have the option of writing to the first prompt or the second prompt–or even both if you feel so inclined. Here they are:

  • Write a dark poem.

Rebirth of hope

Rebirth of hope

As I stood at the cross of condemnation
I heard a small voice whispering
rebirth, rebirth, find the newness within.

A bright light shone over me as a rainbow
appeared from the Far East with brightness
covering my eyes, I set my mindset
to the renewing of hope, peace and love.

I started to find that comfort God promised
long before the world captured me
drawing me from the dark into the light.

I felt a new, like a baby that arrived from
the depths of heaven, almost a miracle
that could say I am reborn, rebirth
into the newness of my salvation.

Lioness vs Lioness

Lusty Leos

She's new to my world,
I don't know how this all
Come about,
It’s that cosmic flow
Between two stars
Unknowingly drifting towards
Each other as orbits
Coming at each other
With a firing speed

As these two collides
In a fast pace.
Nothing can control
The emotions that's
Going at it as these two
Fiery stars collide.
They represent charm,
Entertainment,
But it feels too much
Of a good thing
All at once.

The air of mystery
Should always be kept
Alive not to leave
Each other bored.
Her fiery nature
They're signs that
Are flirtatious
And never back down
A challenge.

Passionate, giving and caring.
It is the rhythm of life but
to be a part of her life
you must first earn her admiration.
 She's unusual, complicated,
 and opinionated but
she can be one of the most
 beautiful experiences in your life.

How fast can this speed
Of two similar stars moves.
The fiery lust and passion
Explodes as these two
Comes together,
An extravagant feeling
Of pouring the cupids arrow
In the same direction.

They creep under your skin,
Making you crave them
As thought of lust
Running through your mind.
Like the animal spirit
Of the lioness,
Never leaving your side.
As these two combat
to awaken snoring sex drives.

The lusty frustrations bloom,
As waves explode
Into this big fiery balloon.
As sweat been wiped
Of the brows,
It’s only a matter of time,
Then its only then
We would experience
Cloud nine.

The history behind the two signs.
The problem in the compatibility between two Lions will be that neither will be ready to take the backstage. Both of them want to be the center of attention all the time and both of them want to dominate in the relationship.
On one hand, it can help them to conquer the entire world and make it fall on their feet. On the other hand, it can lead to great rifts between the two, especially when both of them want to lead and neither is ready to play the second fiddle. On the emotional level, Leos are perfectly compatible. Both of them are very passionate, extremely romantic and full of care and concern for their love ones. Even in the loyalty area, there will no problem as both the individuals are very sincere in love and not at all prone to wandering.

Love Lost & Tossed

Message In a bottle

Love Lost & Tossed

It was a sad day when she left me,
The time I wrote this it was already 3 years
Down the line, she has already forgotten my name
And who I was.
I am the love lost & tossed away lover.
If she should have ever known
How I truly felt about her,
Just maybe you wouldn’t have found
This note tossed away in the deep of the ocean.
You see I was going to mail it to her
And tell her how much my undying love
Never withered from her.
She still holds the passion & the fiery
In my life, but what would that have meant to her.
While I was rolling up this note
To hopefully some pirates would find
And think that a broken heart’s treasure
Could be found.
I guess that doesn’t work right.
That no one will ever know about this
Message in the bottle that would
Drift millions of miles away from
Cape Town harbour.
Ships will pass it; birds would come and rest on it.
So whomever find this, just know.
I might have already found my heart
Somewhere else, while being loveless
And tossed aside by another.

Like A Dove

The Morning Dove

Poem

Like A Dove

Like a dove I’ll be able
To soar the clouds, way above
With my wings spread out
The soft calls from them drawn out
Sounds like laments through the sky.
Graceful, slender- tailed and there small heads.
Makes them admirable, delicate.
When they about to take flight,
Their wings make a sharp whistling.
As to say, “Here I go, up above the heavens.”
Like a dove I want to fly
Way up the open blue sky.
Like A Dove, that’s what I want to be, free.

One Sided Love

One Sided Love

Call it one sided,
Call it unrequited love.
I am struggling with remembering,
How you fell in love with me,
While I was already with someone.
We were best friends you and I
We couldn’t fight our feelings,
But I was with another,
Remember how I told you that
That you should move on
And find another to love.
This is really difficult now,
Because here I found myself single
And the coin has flipped over,
My heart now search for yours,
But it’s gone, taken by another.
I never thought I’d be in this situation.
How our love was one sided
When the other was with someone,
Now the roles has reversed
And I am at that very place where you were
For six months holding onto me,
And finally I let the words slip
From my lips, that I don’t want you.
Call it one sided,
Call it unrequited love.
Call it a lover’s foolishness.

Poetic Asides , day 13 of the National Poetry Month.
For today's prompt, write a poem that remembers an old relationship. This relationship does not have to be romantic. It could be a departed (or estranged) family member, old friend, former teacher, or even just someone you briefly encountered. And the relationship may have even been one-sided or seemingly insignificant to the other person. So let's all dig deep into our memory banks and see what we can draw out today.

Don’t, Just Don’t

Don’t, Just Don’t

Don’t pretend you care,
Because we both know its not
You asked me every time do I care
Yet when we say our last goodbye.
You say don’t, just don’t.
Don’t what I keep thinking?
Do you even know what it is?
Yet in the back of my mind,
I know what it is,
It’s the fact I can’t say it,
Don’t, Just don’t lie.

Day 6 of National Poetry Month @ Poetic Asides ( Prompt...Don't blank)

Maybe love isn’t for me

We search and we search
And we get to the bridge of that
One thing where we have to hand over
Our hearts,
And you question yourself into
The ground,
Asking yourself,
Why?
Then you stop to think?
Just maybe love isn’t for me.

Never Will I

There's a saying, never say never,
Never again am I gonna let you
Near my heart,
The heart you left out cold not once
Having any remorse for the pain you
Inflicted, crush with a human knife
You tear straight in the chest
Feeling the cold of the stainless steel blade,
Blood dripping on the kitchen floor
As the smile on your face never left.
Never again am I letting my heart get that close to another human.
Never again am I opening the possibility
To find another you just
To be cut raw and open for
The world to see.
Never will I.

4:20PM

Its 4:20PM I am sitting here alone,
Memories is whirling inside my mind,
I have tried to bury them deep down
Under the covers yet it shoot like bullets back into gear.

Its 4:20PM on another Sunday afternoon hoping for once not to have you back.
Do I ever cross your mind,
Do you ever think of me,
The days we would talk endlessly.

Its 4:20PM another day almost gone
Storms has settled yet I've never heard back from you.
Its been almost nearly a year last.
I thought this time you would miss me,
I guess its time to stop the clock from getting to another 4:20PM.

My What if’s

My What if’s

I what if from dusk till dawn
I what if from south to north
Holding onto the past that left
Me wondering on so many
Unspoken words,
What if I tried harder?
What if I kept my mouth?
And stayed on in a life
That was making me both sick
And miserable,
You gone from my life,
 A year till this day,
I still think of what we might have been,
Those thoughts of never holding you again,
Never see you smile,
Stuck in a world where I live off
The what ifs of my life.
From dusk till dawn
East to west,
All you left me with is with the ifs.

A Postcard From Heaven

A Postcard From Heaven

Dear I have been sending you
A postcard ever since I have left,
I have kept most of the letters
Knowing it would never reach you
But this might be the last one since
You are coming here soon,
I can’t wait to be reunited with you.
I love you and miss you,
I’ll be there waiting near the white gate
As you walk over that cloud,
You will love it here.
Till we meet again.
Postcard from heaven with love.
