Your Art Matters

Your Art Matters

This morning I picked up the paper,
Usually I read the financial section,
But instead I took a brief moment
To see the who’s who in the cosmopolitan
Of the New York Times,
I must say I have found a lot of things,
Especially on what’s happening
In the world of literature and modern art,
Sculptures and new books being released,
I have spotted that the Jewish Art centre
Is shifting identity,
The Judah L Magnes Museum has
Reopened as the Magnes Collection
Of Jewish Art and life,
And is also now part of the library
At the University of California, Berkeley.
I am so delighted that art hasn’t died yet,
Those historic monuments can be carried
Through generation after generation.
We stand to know that Art does matter,
That whatever we do in this life,
That our creativity will never not
Be outnumbered that Art is timeless.

Lost Without Passion (12/1/2012)

She was the one who brought
The words out of me
Her hazel green eyes
Was stilled deep within me,

She was the one I wanted
To share all my days with,
But then she left
And my heart has never
Overcome it
As I've mourned the departure
Of her being without me.

Distant shores of no passion,
The muse inside has left
I've missed you being there
I've missed your heartbeat
That's long gone away.

I've brood and I've sat in the
Darkness hoping you'll return.
Death was my only way
To be with you
As my passion was you.

I was lost without passion.
Self distraught and mentally
Unsatisfied nothing could
replace you.

There's just silence where
Your voice once was.
It’s all still now.
And my grief has washed away.

This is the poem I have written after being creatively blocked in this festive season, I thought I have lost my passion, my muse was nowhere to be found. Its then i went to read up on May Sarton and her life as a poet, this lady inspired me with her words, with her zest for life. She was 83 when she died, and even before her death and her last words, she published her last volume of poetry and even today her works been studied all around the world.

I nominate Summer Rain for next Rally

Love In A Medley

Love In A Medley

When I look into your eyes
I see a love that transforms me,
I see the good weighing out the bad.
When I look into your eyes.
I see your smile shining through.
When I look into your eyes.
I can see our future.

I
Carry
You everywhere
I go.
I keep you safe inside
Of mine.
Where I know that you
Will always be close by.
I
Carry
You everywhere
In my heart.

When I look into your eyes
I find a medley inside
Of my soul that yearns
After your love.
You give it
To me freely
Like a heart served
On a silver platter.
Love I wouldn’t falter
Our love.

Distance and separation
May have split us,
But I will never give up
On loving you
On giving up
On
Our love.

We walk a journey
Together to find a
Love of Medley
Inside our hearts
Binded together
Where no other
Can divide
The love we have
For each other.

Letting Go of Unavailable People

Letting Go of Unavailable People

I have been trying to figure out
Why I cant let go of you,
Why I am always drawn to coming back
Knowing that we haven’t had a successful
Relationship, but then it dwelled on me why?
You and I are both unavailable beings,
We consume ourselves with the same things,
Emotionally we are drawn to each other
On a powerful energetic level.
That is why we have this strong connection
Towards each other the near fact of either
Of us don’t want to let go,
Yet we are emotionally driven
To stay bounded to the other.
You have this hold onto me
And I have this emotional hold onto you.

We have an inner radar system that
Keeps us compacted with the other
On an emotionally intimate level.
We both had broken childhoods
And we walk around with those wounds,
I thought if I help you,
We might have a better chance at our forever.
But we have kept each other behind as well,
I don’t know the circumstances your in now.
“The reason that we get involved with people who are unavailable,
 Is because we are unavailable.”
I love you I truly know that I do in my heart,
But it is not possible to love someone
Enough to get them to stop feeling.
We have to stop that delusion,
Even though you are with someone else.

And I know that you shouldn’t even be,
With anyone because you feel that emptiness
Inside of you that has been missing since
You were a child,
I wish you could focus more on healing
Yourself on the inside
And understanding and healing the
Emotional wounds that have driven
Us to pick people who could not give
 us what we want emotionally.
I am letting go of you, not because
I don’t love you, but because I think
We both know you are holding onto
People with the fears that is still
Stuck deep within your soul.
Until then we will both be ready
For something with someone that
Is available for us.
Letting go doesn’t mean I don’t love you,
It means that I will always be here for you.

An Epic Love Tale

An Epic Love Tale

The depth of my soul cries out
To the one who's imprints
Has laid on its soul,
My heart sings out to you,
As much as I love you,
My heart wants to hold onto you for decades and centuries
Yet I know that in another life
Our love will once again blossom
From the depths of our souls
We will journey through cosmic stars
As Venus match with Venus
On a cold chilly evening
Our tears will fall under the same moon
As each one of us will pray
To up above asking our savior
To keep watch over the other.
Here's my heart my soul
That will wander searching
For the other half of my heart,
The way I've always loved you
The way you've always charmed me.
Your beautiful smile,
Those dark brown eyes of yours
That smile I use to put on your lips,
I'm no Shakespeare, no Keats,
But this I know as a poet
I've come to serenade you with words
As you've always been my number
One true fan.
Oh how I've loved your praise,
Having you be apart of my life
Was heaven, yet here on earth?
The ocean has separated us.
There's not a person in this
World that can tell me what we had
Wasn't epic, we came through
The worst and each time we got
It right, someone cannot describe
To me ever what the perfect love
Feels like.
You were my epic tale,
A love filled with tragedy, beauty
A lover’s fa tale,
Two women from two opposites
Of the world,
But no one, love no one,
Will ever love like you've loved me.
I found healing in your love,
I've found compassion, encouragement,
I've found abundance in the faith
You've shared with me,
Your love was what carried me through.
The depths of your heart will always
Be combined with mine.
You're the inspiration where my
Words use to flow.
Tears will fall tonight as they stream
Endlessly because of what I've lost.
In your own words
           "Creo que eres hermosa.
Y probablemente no debería decir esta última parte,
             Pero me gustas tu"
"I think you're beautiful.
And I probably shouldn't say this last part, but I like you."
“Mi alma es tuya te la entrego
              Soy completo para ti”

My heart is yours, I give it to you
              I am complete for you

Words I Couldn’t Say

Words I Couldn’t Say 6/10/2011

There’s a box in my cupboard filled with all of you
You’re pictures scattered around me as I stare at
Them endlessly, I am so far lost that I’m hoping
For the words I couldn’t say then.
In a book in a box, in a line of a song
I hear the words over and over.
But never the words I couldn’t say.
The words leave my lips as I whisper your name.
Silence all around me as I sit on my front porch
Hoping that somewhere the stars I’m sleeping
Under will let you know I am thinking of you.
The words was there on the tip of my tongue,
There was you, and me but that’s all gone,
No back up plan, no second chance and no one else to blame.
I’m left with silence only hearing my own breathing
At night, no words to comfort me,
Nothing it’s all lost and I can’t blame anyone,
Words I couldn’t say.
Lost in a world where there is no second chances,
There is water pouring down from the sky,
Yet it’s all falling down on me,
There’s a wall I try to take down,
What I should have said is lost and gone.
Words I couldn’t say.
Words that I should’ve said just couldn’t
Pass my lips, now here we are and I’m too late.
All I can hear is the footsteps of your heart passing me by.
I should have found a way to tell you
How I really felt then,
Now I am telling all those things to myself.
What do I do now, its too late I can’t blame anyone,
There is nothing that remains
But the silence.
Because of the words I couldn’t say.

Lioness vs Lioness

Lusty Leos

She's new to my world,
I don't know how this all
Come about,
It’s that cosmic flow
Between two stars
Unknowingly drifting towards
Each other as orbits
Coming at each other
With a firing speed

As these two collides
In a fast pace.
Nothing can control
The emotions that's
Going at it as these two
Fiery stars collide.
They represent charm,
Entertainment,
But it feels too much
Of a good thing
All at once.

The air of mystery
Should always be kept
Alive not to leave
Each other bored.
Her fiery nature
They're signs that
Are flirtatious
And never back down
A challenge.

Passionate, giving and caring.
It is the rhythm of life but
to be a part of her life
you must first earn her admiration.
 She's unusual, complicated,
 and opinionated but
she can be one of the most
 beautiful experiences in your life.

How fast can this speed
Of two similar stars moves.
The fiery lust and passion
Explodes as these two
Comes together,
An extravagant feeling
Of pouring the cupids arrow
In the same direction.

They creep under your skin,
Making you crave them
As thought of lust
Running through your mind.
Like the animal spirit
Of the lioness,
Never leaving your side.
As these two combat
to awaken snoring sex drives.

The lusty frustrations bloom,
As waves explode
Into this big fiery balloon.
As sweat been wiped
Of the brows,
It’s only a matter of time,
Then its only then
We would experience
Cloud nine.

Copyrights C Davids @ 1/09/2011

The history behind the two signs.
The problem in the compatibility between two Lions will be that neither will be ready to take the backstage. Both of them want to be the center of attention all the time and both of them want to dominate in the relationship.
On one hand, it can help them to conquer the entire world and make it fall on their feet. On the other hand, it can lead to great rifts between the two, especially when both of them want to lead and neither is ready to play the second fiddle. On the emotional level, Leos are perfectly compatible. Both of them are very passionate, extremely romantic and full of care and concern for their love ones. Even in the loyalty area, there will no problem as both the individuals are very sincere in love and not at all prone to wandering.

Word To Ponder
Words are the epitome of our nature
we are quite beings with deep
thoughts as we watch the world
through a different set of eyes.
Emotions sways us

Open Road

The road ahead seems tarnished
As the wheels touches the gravel.
Sometimes I like this kind of drives
Where the road leads me to places
Unknown, places I forbid to reach.
But is it possible that we have
Always let ourselves be on
An concurrent drive as we
Protest that failure can slow
Us down.
What do we seek in life
If we always play it safe
Never to reach that open door.
That old familiar feeling
We always get where we stop
Ourselves from enjoying life.
We fall in despair as life takes
An unprepared turn
As we venture through pain
And heartache pulling us down.
We get to the brim of our adventure.
As we look far beyond the distance.
That long and unwinding grayish tar.
We see a road never ending.
We look at life as its on going,
Recurring each step as the days come.
So does that open road become.
A road that has so many other
Directions, it all depends
On the outcome.
On what we want out of life
And also what we seek to console
Our burden hearts.
I've come to a open road
And I've failed.
I've failed what I thought I knew.
That I can grow with each mistake
And turn it into a lesson.
Sometimes we think to much about
The end of that open road.
But all along its not about
Where we came from,
But where we we'll be
At the end of the day.
Finding hope and holding
On to our love for ourselves.

Tears In The Rain

Tears In The Rain

It’s been days; no it’s been a fraction of two weeks.
Since then I have been walking around as tears
Cascade down my face, but who can see me
I pretend I am in control now
I avoid not falling apart because if that rain
Starts falling it is hard to hold back.
You can see tears in the rain
No matter how hard I try
They wont see anything
Only the rain in my eyes.
See I have waited for that storm to come
So I could hide my tears in the falling rain.
Here I am walking in the countryside
My umbrella keeping the rain from crashing,
But deep inside it’s a whirling wind of emotions.
My heart is breaking, the pain unbearable.
You’re the angel up above
Holding me close from falling face down.
I couldn’t blame you for leaving
You had your own tears to mend.
The time has come now
I’m letting go now.
The rain’s going to fall down and they wont see my pain
I see our lives flashing by us in a ray of hope,
Just a glimmer of something to stop the tears in the rain.
Hold onto our memories that was once our forever,
How ironic is it that the very rain that we once played in,
Is now the very thing that’s making me cry?
Tears in the rain.

Author Notes :
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
If tears could build a stairway,
And memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven
And bring you home again.

Optic Illusion

Optic Illusion

The creations of what we feed to our minds
We come to the realization,
That what is out there can be seen
If we keep our eyes on what it reaches,
For days we have been living in this atmosphere,
Where certain pictures gets created and inside
Our minds we develop what we want it to be,
Deep in your subconscious you’ve created him.
Even though I know he isn’t here anymore.
A life taken unexpectedly,
Not ready to walk back into the light,
He hears your cries and your pleading.
Just when he was about to walk through he heard
A girl’s voice calling him,
“I need you, you promised you wont leave.”
Stopping him in his tracks.
“I should go back,”
He says, contemplating which way.
He holds his hand up to the guard
Standing a few feet away from this crystal gate.
“Can I go back just until she’s okay.”
The guard stood up and he walks
To the young man.
“You have a choice, either you leave now
And go with me, or you stay and wait for eternal life later.”
The boy stood he have to make a choice,
Its either he goes now, but he heard her cry once again.
“Sir I love her she is all I had. We grew up never
leaving each other side.”
The guard looked passed the young man’s
Shoulder and saw a girl on
A lonely bed in a room where she is
Strapped to a bed. The guard felt his
Eyes wet as a lonely tear fell down his face.
“Son you should go back, be with her till
she is okay to let you go.”
The young man grabs the guard and hugged him.
“Thank you.”
He turned around and walked away from the light.
Away from the crystal gate that was waiting
On his return.
This is a story of what love can do,
Even if you don’t believe in the illusions
Our minds create for us, but living
Through visions which I was gifted with
As young child, I always knew
That this girl is going to find her faith
And let him go home.

Passion Propels My Dreams

Passion Propels My Dreams

Inside my dreams you live in the deepness,
You’re strong arms around my waist
As I cover you with  mine.
Holding it in front of me,
As we become entwine in each other’s embrace.
The passion that propels my dreams,
Everything about you makes me turn lustful,
Whether it’s love or just the feeling
Of being with someone, releasing me with the pain,
Of my hormones taking me to another place,
That is where I found you, in the embrace of my dreams,
Never crowding me, but holding me
Never leaving me for another’s arms,
Never clinging to you as another would,
But feeling as one. As our hearts beat with each thud,
Soft sultry music flowing through the air,
As our heart play the same violin strings,
          In perfect harmony.
As pouring rain come crashing down us,
We never stepped away, but holding close
To one another, as lips and wet skin never stopping us.
The passion that propels through our dreams,
Becomes a heaven that only we would ever feel.
