A bittersweet coffee taste

A bittersweet coffee taste

Caffeine is the flavor of my morning
the flavor I love tasting on your tongue
each morning watching us hold our cups
in our hands as you smile this radiance
of hope filled devotion for me,

but coffee oh bittersweet coffee taste
in my mouth since you have left
it’s all I am tasting the aroma of the
chocolate velvety taste upon
my tongue feels different these days
walking in the morning with a cup
in hand I no longer feel the smile crest
upon my lips as coffee becomes more
more haunting with each passing day.

A writer needs her caffeine filled morning
or how would she be able to function
now that you are gone from her life,
surrendering my love for you and
only you as days get bittersweet

no melodramatic arguments
between lovers throughout the day
surpassing the moments that we’ve just walked up
to each other holding hands
your hand fitted with mine.

My ring upon your finger would
have been magnificent on this
Valentines morning waking up alone
without my smile is something
a bittersweet coffee taste would be.

Sweet like you

Sweet like you

A sweet lingering feeling
of sweet coffee on your tongue
my senses awakens by the flow
of your body between my hands
touching your skin it feels
as smooth as a coffee creamer.

instant coffee of the heart

Instant coffee of the heart

Getting to know me take much longer
As my fragile heart beats for the one
Lost in the ocean distant shores.
Touch by others sincerity
I don’t know if I should try
Or wait till the God above me tells me
Take a chance once again
Fill your quill with love and romance

Oh how I long to be with the one
My tender heart is calling out too.
I wish I knew the face, the name
Expressing myself in words to fill
The endless days and nights
Of writing you letters yet
Not knowing who you are.
Where are you now that my heart
Had set the past free
Wanting to find love again
Yes I am ready, but please
Make yourself known to my tender hearts call.

hunger eyes

Hunger eyes

Passion filled with a dark exterior
you want for me
your need for my touch
is like the torrent emotions
of so much passion pouring
from you unto me.
What passion derives from the soul?
of another, as your hunger eyes
looks deep within my soul.
Bind us together as we lay
side by side tender hearts
feeling the beat of your heart.
The depth of your feeling inspires
me to write these words
I want to lock our eyes together
sensing the want the need
had stems deep within us.
Hunger eyes you look at me
and I am over the moon falling into you.

A sip of coffee

This idea came from the Allpoetry Group a sip of instant coffee
I would suggest you read the group's preface to understand the concept of this kind of poetry.

Sip of coffee

A sip of the cup overflow
My mind as coffee and cream dance
Together filtering your mind
With its creamy velvety taste.
Sadness no lost but comforting
As coffee and cream
Taste of pure loveliness
Stirring the cup with a smile
A little flavour to stop the quiver
Slow conversation would spill
From lips as my bottom lip
Sipping coffee to restore hope
My craft in the night needs
To be awaken deep strong
Sugar and creamy taste sits on my tongue.
Sip of coffee creating an illusion
My mind filled with the flavours
Caffeine, milk and sugar
While sipping a cup of coffee
I form you in my mind
Longing the taste of the cream
Touching the bottom of my lip
Warm soothing to indulge
A lovely creamy taste
Filled with passion insight
As I find myself touching
The lip you’ve burn
With your creamy touch.
