The Rain is falling down

The Rain is falling down

The rain is falling down
And you stand there not moving,
Your tears are burning your cheeks,
But if you show them your weakness
They laugh at you seeing you just a fake.
Lost and alone she is in this world
Trying to find herself,
She fights daily this inner battle,
Guarding her heart from those whose hurt her,
She gives up and lies down not fight for what she deserves,
Drowning in her sorrow, she tried to reach out,
But it just came crashing down on her
She stands through her pain,
Wanting a helping hand,
But how can she when the pain she is living
With is drowning her battle to be alive
To walk with her head held high and make
Use of what’s left of this world.
Her face up to the clouds
Water crashing down,
She falls to her knees,
The tears never stopping burning her face,
Asking for penitence, laying her heart out
Trying to get her life,
To stop the fears that is whispering in her ear,
With holding her from the peace,
That she deserves, stand up they say,
Chanting lift up your head, stop the tears from falling,
But they just don’t know what she is wrestling with,
The hurt, the anger, the pain, the love lost.
God please through all this pain, the weakness within her,
Give her strength make her see that what’s lost can be found.
This is a girl, who is trying so hard to face life daily,
Being the good person she is, but people break her down,
Taking and taking from her, never receiving,
Here she is God wanting to change her frown into a smile.
She wants to be found; the only way is stop running away.

The rain beautifully expresses the emotions shown. The last lines are amazing, so true... Just face the world, don't be afraid of it ;)
