Double Persona

She walks through valleys

Walking hard to keep

Her secrets hidden from the world

Afraid, alone and fearful of what may happen.

She walks around with a double persona.

She’s in love with someone, or so she thinks,

But in her world she isn’t meant to be with

This person not allowed being who she is.

So she goes on websites to create this version

Of whom she really is,

Her heart is so soft and gentle,

But yet if you look deep within her

She is trying too hard to be happy

With who she and also trying to hold onto

The life that everyone in her world is used too.

The girl who is strong and always fighting to be who she is,

But yet deep down she is hiding her through persona.

Don’t be afraid of what’s inside

You feel the weight of the lies and the contradictions

You live with daily,

If only she can rewrite the role she live day to day,

If she ever wants to be her, she has to shed the armour

And start loving herself, for who she is,

No lying and hiding behind that mask,

Of being someone she is not, because living with a double persona,

Feels like dying.
