The One That Got Away

Sebastian Taylor & Whitney Connor

She was about to do something that she never thought she would be able to manifest as her own dreams of being a doctor fell a part. The hospital she was working for as a receptionist offered a scholarship to do her studies.
The life she had dreamt off was coming to pass. Inside her mind she couldn’t believe that she doubted herself, but it was one person with green sparkling eyes with a jar that any women would drop to the floor. He was the hero in her life, her prince charming the only man she has lost herself and also her innocence and everything connected to him. She fell in love with a rich boy from a well rounded family that lived in Upper- State New York and she was the blonde blue- eyed girl from the down tracks of Louisiana.
A southern with the extract of her voice that sung melodies through his ears. Sebastian was a 25 year old entrepreneur having the company of any women he ever wanted or craved for, but it was a young lady that worked at the hospital his father was head of the board that made him rethink everything he never thought he wanted.
Whitney thought that she wasn’t good enough for him seeing as there was a lot of differences between the two of them. There two year relationship ended abruptly when he asked her to choose between her career as a doctor and going away to Paris to live with him. He was a jet-setter and she was a middle class worker who had to take care of her elderly parents and two siblings.
She always wondered what had happened to him, but it was like he vanished into thin air and never to be heard off.

So here it was three years later and she is finally attending her first class at the University of New York. The introduction went by swiftly as students settled in as the professor starts to write his lecture.
I felt a tap on the left shoulder and as my head swerves more to face the person tapping my shoulder, at first I didn’t want to look behind me. Just to make small conversation with whoever it is, then the other thought was be kind.
As my head face the person, my eyes were like it was going to pop out. Is this real or is it just an a lucid dream that I have been thinking a hell lot more often about that smouldering green eyes that I could stare enough at when they were in my life .
I scrunch my face and the smile on the participant couldn’t have been happier to see me after such a long period.
“I see that you are still the most intense woman as always. Fancy finding you here.” With a smile on his face and getting that fresh minty sensation as he breathes out some air. I couldn’t but almost fell over my chair as he stopped me just in time.
“Sebastian.” I say so softly.
“Finally she remembers my name.” He said it so sweet, I couldn’t even get embarrassed by the people sitting close around us and listening in to our conversation.
“Do you remember mine?”
“Off course, sunshine, there is just something about you over the years I couldn’t forget.” Instantly I didn’t feel like being in this class, I wanted to speak to him more. Also why and how did he know I was in this class? I was lost in my thoughts and didn’t hear him call my name.
When I heard the professor calling names out and I whip to the front as Professor Santiago nodded to get a response out of me.
“I don’t like being disturbed in my lecturers Miss Connor. If you need to be excused you can do so and just ask one of the students for today’s notes. I am sure right now Mr Taylor has other things plan for him sitting in on one of my lectures, right Mr Taylor.” Santiago was becoming to be my favourite lecture no doubt.
“You right about that.” He got up from his chair and walked to the aisle and came to stand next to my desk and showing me his outstretched hand to take.
“Come.” He said and without hesitating I packed my books and shoved them inside my messenger bag. I got up from the chair and took his hand as we both walked up the stairs to the exit.
I couldn’t believe he was here. He took my bag and threw it over his shoulder letting it hang half way across his broad shoulder.
We walked outside into the parking lot as he showed me his car was parked right in front of the reserve parking bays. Still I wasn’t sure how and what he’s really doing here.
How did he find me? There was no trail seeing as I have moved here only recently.
Questions were whirling inside my head that I needed to be answered.
“You don’t have to look so concern, Whit.” He called me on my nickname the one I haven’t allowed other men to use. It was already taken and copyrighted by thee Sebastian Taylor.
“I am not. This just seems out of left field don’t you think. How did you know where I was? Have you been stalking me.” I said with a smile and a sarcastic laugh afterwards.
“Hmm maybe who knows.” He said being all mysterious as he starts up the car and pulled out the parking lot and toward the main road.
I wasn’t afraid or anything just tense a bit that I am here with him driving towards who knows where.
“I hope you don’t mind me taking you to an early lunch.”
“Nah its okay.” I said.
“Whitney it’s me, Sebastian why you sound shy.” He says looking at me then back on the road. As I turn to face him I could see the grin on his face.
“You like doing this to women don’t you.” I said in a voice that sounded unfamiliar to me.
“Well not just any woman.” He said in a cocky voice and that was the thing I fell for the first time. The way he was with me arrogant and in control of everything never allowing him to be submissive to women, but indulging them to a certain degree. I was that naive southern girl at the tender age of 20 when I first laid eyes on him. His masculinity was overpowering my senses and like a little teenager I wanted him to take me, to have me in any way possible.
Then it all fell apart the days after he left was like a piece of me was death. I couldn’t move on I couldn’t stop from thinking what if only I have said yes. Then I thought, but why couldn’t he wait for me, why was it either or. He crushed me and it took me two years after him to finally start dating again. I met Liam Houston a brunette with dark features in way he reminded me of Sebastian, but there was never that connection in our love making, it was like I was disconnected from him in an intimate way.
Liam left with these words, “I don’t know for how much longer I can live in the shadows of your one true love, and I know it’s not me it would never be me. It would always be him and I can’t live with the idea of sharing your heart with another man.” With that he walked out of my life. I have seen him a few times and that was it.

“We here.” He said as the car jerked and came to a full stop. He got out the car and walked around to open my door.
I got out.
He left my bag in his car as he locks up and holds my hand.
As we walk towards the restaurant. He spoke to the receptionist and she called another waiter to show us to our table. He didn’t leave my hand once. Just when he took out the chair for me and went to sit on the other side. Asking the waiter to give us some time to have a look at the menu.
“Isn’t it lovely.” He says.
I took a sip of the water from my glass.
“Yeah I’d say.” He smiles.
“What?”
“You are more beautiful than what I remember.” He said.
The waiter took our order as he left I start to ask him what I needed to know.
“Sebastian I need to know how.” I sat up with my arms crossed over my chest.
“Hmm, it started with the scholarship. You were working for the hospital my dad is the head of the board. I have seen your name in between the application forms on my desk and well the rest is history.” That wasn’t what I wanted to hear.
“So the reason I received the scholarship because the guy I once screwed came across my name and I happened to get accepted.” Anger burst throughout me.
“Whitney I wouldn’t do such a thing. I have always known you wanted to be a doctor and if you wanted to know the other applicants wasn’t up the standard my father and myself were looking for. We weren’t going spend thousands of dollars on a freshly graduated student from a high school who doesn’t have the relevant back ground and highly skilled marks we were looking for. Yes I chose you, but not because I once screwed you like you are proclaiming. I am a businessman and I don’t do business decisions with my dick.”  We were attracting a lot of eyes on us as we were going off in a loud tone.
The waiter came back as he told us to lower our voices are else leave.
Then Sebastian took the initiative to be the arrogant ass he can be at times.
“You don’t threaten me in my own restaurant.” He told the guy and the manager came to our table apologizing for the incompetence of his waiter.
They both walked away. I stared at him and I was about to get up from my chair. When he grabbed my wrist from the other side of the table. Sebastian was someone you can never leave alone in a restaurant, he has this notion that nobody walks out of him ever and that goes for everyone.
“Is this how you treat everyone that works for you.” I said. I was starting to regret coming along to this rendezvous with him. As much as I have been thinking about him for sometime, this isn’t what I was looking forward too.
“Just give me a hearing that is all. I will leave you alone after that. I will go away and never bother you ever.” He said with a tone that sounded sincere.
I sat back in my chair and waiting on him to continue.
“I am sorry, Whit. It’s just I have been wanting to see you for such a long time. I came to NYU this morning not because I wanted to sit in on one of your classes. I was there for a meeting and walked right pass Professor Santiago's class . I opened the door and heard your name being called and I searched for you as I scan every head until your hand whipped up and that blonde long hair of yours that was always bouncy I knew I had to see you. I don’t know how I got the courage to enter and come sit right behind you. It was like I didn’t care about the last time we have seen each other and how we ended. It was about me wanting to see you even if it was just for awhile.” He carried on explaining and I was hanging onto every word. Our lunch came and we ended up talking some more. We didn’t think about where we had to be next it was like this was the only place we wanted and needed to be.
He held my hand it was charismatic the way the event happened how we still had that bond, the way we can talk about just anything. I think this is the start of a new beginning.
“Whitney don’t ever leave me again please.”
“I’ll try.” I said.
“I love you. I never stopped.”
“I love you to Sebastian Taylor.”
“You too Whitney Connor.”

An Unsuspected Journey

The Unsuspected Journey
by
Chimnese Davids

They say inside our hearts we all have a destiny, we all have a journey to follow through. Living in this day and age where life can pass you by in an instant. No recover, no second chances, and no I am sorry. It’s a life that we try so hard to grasp on. Not knowing what tomorrow holds for us. It was the decision you've made without me.  A decision that could have been avoided.

But I knew the day would come where we would walk this path. All along I knew that time would bring us back together, but today I saw you for the person that I've fallen in love with.

You helped me as I've tried to gather my entire luggage on the cart. We were walking side by side as you push the stroller. I didn't turn to your side. I didn't want to have this moment be our last.

"One day you will thank me." Those words uttered from her lips.
"In the events that coming you will be doing something that you always wanted. I won't be the one to put that light out of you." She says.

My tears were there, but I didn't let them fall. All I could feel was the blood pumping through my veins to every part where this rush of overwhelming came fort. I didn't want to leave her, but she knew it wasn't going to be forever. That I wasn't going to be in her life forever.

“The hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future; fate."

I closed my eyes as we near the escalator taking me further. Taking me away from her.
"Are you ready?" She asked me. With my eyes still closed, taking deep breathes before I spoke.
A deep breath was filled into my lungs as I breathe it right back out slowly.
"I'm nerves. I'm exited, but I'm nerves." I said. She looked at me as she pushes the stroller back and forth. Yet still having her eyes set on mine.
Never have I thought that this would hurt so much. The tears was visible I could see her light green eyes glittering from the water as it didn't fall, but it was there evident that this is as hard for her as it was for me.

I would've stayed, if she said the words. I wouldn't have let her take me to that airport. To know that she was my angel. This is like when I was sick a few years back and she couldn't accept that I was fighting a disease that was incurable. But her love for me made me fight against all the reports from doctors that I will never be able to have a normal life. That I would never walk. We believed together. We took God as our savoir and believed in so many other testimonies.

Six months went passed and I was able to walk again. Doctors said it was miracle; I stopped all medication because I believed in a higher power.
This right here with her, saying goodbye to my best friend and my god daughter was the only family I've had.

"Jordan, our destinies isn't up to us nor does the weather. If this is the last goodbye I don't want to remember the tears, but the joy. This is your purpose to heal people. There’s a light inside of you, something I can't keep to myself any longer." I was in love with, Sarah since I've met her 10 years ago.

“There are winds of destiny that blow when we least expect them. Sometimes they gust with the fury of a hurricane; sometimes they barely fan one’s cheek. But the winds cannot be denied, bringing as they often do a future that is impossible to ignore.”

"If I never knew you, if I never felt this way I would have no inkling on how great life can be." I said.
Sarah came closer to me the stroller pointed to the side of her as I hear   baby, Winter blowing through her lips. I am going to miss that sound she makes ever since she started teething.

She stops in front of me as both her arms goes around my neck, mine went around her waist, just holding each other in. I didn't want to let go, neither did she.
Tears couldn't be stopped, not this time around. She pulled away, wiping the tears from my eyes. Smiling as she does it. I didn't look a way, I didn't want too. Because for the next year or more I wouldn't see them again.

Just before I let go of her waist she pressed a kiss to the corner of my lips. I remember as we said our last goodbyes I was touching my lip to feel her touch.

It was as if we in this movie that's being filmed and everything in that scene was shot in slow motion. The way we walked away from each other. No one turned around she was walking towards home and I was walking towards a life that I am not familiar with.  A life that I still fear.

As I walked up the escalator. Until I got to the top. I finally turned around just when I spotted her and Winter making their way out of the airport.

If I look back to that moment standing face to face with the woman that I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, but if our destinies didn't bring us back together. You might as well accept it, that she wasn't meant to be with me.
I've been living in Cape Town, South Africa for the past five years.

“Of course it hurt that we could never love each other in a physical way. We would have been far happier if we had. But that was like the tides, the change of seasons--something immutable, an immovable destiny we could never alter. No matter how cleverly we might shelter it; our delicate friendship wasn't going to last forever. We were bound to reach a dead end. That was painfully clear.”

My destiny wasn't set anywhere else, but right here in my home town.

Thoughts of You

Thoughts of you come across my mind,
i tell you in my heart how i love you,
how i desire you and all you are.

Tree of Life

Underneath a willow tree
a young lady came one night
And sat underneath it,
For years since she was a little girl
She came to this exact spot.
For years this willow tree has
Never carried any leaves,
a lifeless tree, but underneath it
She found comfort,
She found herself underneath
That spot,
For the first time in years after
The young girl dressed in a red dress,
Asked for something.
Something she never knew
Or thought could come true,
She prayed that night the young lady
Came prepared, she didn't come
There to shed tears,
But she came to make peace with
What's wrestling within her spirit.
God says you who believe in my name will have a heart filled with peace.
She went on her knees as she looks
Up to the sky,
Her hands folds together as she
Cries out, "Does anybody hear me.
God if you their please I need your help.
I'm a lost girl yearning to be loved and understood, something I've never found at home. Just maybe I'm hoping someone would come rescue me from the life I've lived, the pain and the heartache. Some days I don't know if its me looking back in the mirror.
Every day I walk around and I can see all the brokenness but still on they go with their private lives as they hide their silent cries." She starts to sop even harder then she's ever had before.
"God please help me here my cry. I want to change, I want to be complete in your love. I want to be able to stand up and say I'm loved and that I love myself." Tears was rolling down as her cries stretch high above the tree tops that birds came to sit on this willow tree that didn't have any leaves.
Sometimes God use the extraordinary things to make us see that he can use a bare willow tree.
That was the tree of life.
The tree the young girl came to each and everyday and found her peace by
Letting God be her savior.

HourGlass

Hour Glass

My life is like the hourglass
As the sand pass through
The narrowness
Of life
That is what my life has become.
It’s a life with a lot
Of chaos happening,
But through the passing of times,
I discovered that there were times
God has walked with me,
When I didn’t notice the
Time passing me by,
They say that these are the days of our lives,
We don’t live in soapy world
A world of fictional time.
But reality shakes me from my dreams,
When death came and take away
My loved ones,
I realized at some point,
My tears have dried up.
Another time God has wiped my tears.
When life gave me illness,
I realized that the pain
Has gone away,
That was when prayers
Were done and God came
And healed my pain.
Time is so important in our lives,
Sometimes we get distracted,
But always know,
That God deserves our full attention.

My Two Mommies

When I was a little girl I never knew that I was different that my entire life wasn’t how other children’s households were.
My mothers raised me, both equally powerful women that I have looked up to since I was old enough to understand the whole living arrangement.
It never bothered me really, because one I was loved and I was taken care of, they would both walked into my room and read me bedtime stories.
My one mom Jaden she always would make the funniest faces. The other one she is my biological mother her name is Peyton.
My first day at elementary school I can remember that day as it happened the other day.
I remember my parents being extremely filled with joy as they drove me to the school, I was also happy because I was going to make lots of new friends. My parents stopped in the schools ground as we get out the car my mother open the back door as I climb out. We didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but out of the corner of my eye I saw a bunch of people with white boards written in black on it. "Keep the Queers Kids Off Our School Ground." My mother Jaden had this look of fear spread across her face. I've never seen my mother so frighten nor ever saw her looking at me like she wished she could change this for me not to be apart of.
My mommy Peyton shouted from the drivers seat. " Jaden get in the car please." She didn't she stood there with me as everyone started to near our car.
First word that came to my mouth was, "Mommy what's going on." She didn't answer, but she kneeled down in front of me. The tears came falling down her cheeks as I wipe them as they come. My own tears later starts falling as a man came from behind my mommy.
"Get up!". He yelled at her. She stood up and faces the guy as she hides me behind her long legs.
At the same time my mom Peyton got out of the driving seat and came walking around as she too kept me closely towards her as this guy is shouting words of hate to them.
All my mother said was, " please sir we just here to take our daughter to school." He had his finger pointed to her face almost too close that it barely touches her skin.
"You and your bastard child aren’t welcome here. Take your child to a school that allows gays. We don't need her filling our kids minds with sinful lust." He spoke but while doing that, he spat in her face.
She pulls the guy by the shirt, just when she was about too punching. Another guy clothed in uniform pulled the guy away.
"You can push me all you want, but don't, don't you ever dare to say one more hurtful ugly word from that mouth of yours. I have every right to take my daughter to this school and not you are anyone is going to stop me."
It was that day I started to realize even at the age of six that people is never going to accept who my parents are. Also I've learnt from them that who I am and who I become doesn't matter if I love myself for where I'm coming from.
There are so many incidents like what myself and my parents had to live through. That also wasn't the first school that turned us away. My parent’s relationship has changed with every attack our family got from outsiders. If kids didn't call me names like queer kid, homo, or beat me up without doing anything.
My parents teach me to not let it get to me, to face the battles, but when I got to middle school it wasn't even harder then when I was little.
I am not gay, just because my parents were doesn't mean I am. I am there daughter and I love them.
They've protected me since I was old enough to understand.
I would go home in the afternoons and cry myself to sleep. Wanting to know what I've done wrong to be treated this way.
Its then when Jaden would say, "Baby you don't have to do anything, this is just our fate that people won't accept what's not real to them. Ignorance won't change, we've fought for rights since the 1980's we as the LGBTQ community has to stand by and create a better life for ourselves and our children."
Jaden was a lovable human being; she loves my mom with all her heart. Watching their love grows stronger and sometimes they do fight, but all parents do. That's just how life is.
My parents raised me in such away that I understand what it means to be gay.
Like for instance when one of my friends once asked me, "so where's your dad, because all kids have a mom and dad." I went home and I couldn't understand it I've never heard either of them talking about my dad. Jaden told me I wasn't born with a dad. There was never a dad; my mother had me by insemination. They explained to me each and everything. Questions that would come up like my background, about being teased and kids being mean to me. There was a support amongst the gay community as I've grown up.
Like all children, most children with gay parents will have both good and bad times. That's a given fact.

AN: This is my entry for Blue Bell Short Story Slam #10 Children's Literature.
I thought i would go the other way with the prompt and write something kids of the LGBT community does go through. Just to give it a voice. This story is fiction the characters nor teh story is real. Its all created by myself...I hope you enjoy this read.

Awaken To Spring

Awaken To Spring

“And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
and each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast
rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.”

It’s the first day of spring,
I arise to the morning as
I hear the birds chirping outside.
This is the start of a brand new season.
The trees are starting to grow leaves,
The cold winter air has faded over night.
It’s a brand new start.
Time to remove the cluttering
Of winter depression and anxiety.
I thank the God above as I wake up,
To the sound of nature outside my house.
The feeling inside slightly changes,
The dark corners that lurked within,
Cleansed by the zest of a new season,
Spring awakens the spirit within,
Brings out the smile to your lips.
As you breathe in the morning glory.
Trees blooming little cotton flowers,
Gardens smell of greenery and floral divine.
What joy doesn’t spring brings
As the season wipe away the sad blues of wintry rains.

What Is Love

What is Love?

What is love?
Do we know it?
Do we feel it?
Are we just buying into the hype of it?
Living in our fantasies about love.
Falling in love being swept off,
By the person.
Is it their humorist?
Is it their eyes?
The color of there skin,
The connection between two souls.
What is love?
Can you tell me because?
I certainly thought
Love was two souls coming
Together binding as one.
Falling in love, the deep affection
You carry for them.
Tell me do you know love?
Where does it reside.
Does it sit in your stomach?
Does your heart skip a beat?
Does the person you love
Make you feel like you are complete.
Can one person be the one?
Can someone set your heart free?
If people are truly, madly, deeply
In love with each other,
They will find away.
Would they I'd like to know?
I don't pretend to know
What love is for everyone?
But I can tell what it is for me.
"Love is knowing all about someone,
And still wanting to be with
Them more than any other person,
Love is trusting them enough
To tell them everything about yourself,
Including the things you
Might be ashamed of,
Love is feeling comfortable
And safe with someone,
 But still getting weak knees
When they walk into a room
 and smile at you."
So what is love to you?
Because it all differs from
Person to person.
But to me love is something
I have to feel, I have to learn
To love myself,
Before all those other things
Can fall into place.

This is my entry for BlueBell Short Story Slam #8

I started writing this poem two nights ago, as i start to ask myself what is love? Is it real are we just going along by the hype of this world as we read romance novels and such.
I have been finding it hard to love myself, to accept myself for who I am, as a person.
There is a saying we should love ourselves first before we can love another, but what if you get rejected by someone, being hurt left broken to pick up the pieces.
I know God loves me, and I know I love God, but why cant I feel that love for me as well. Dealing with depression and always feeling lost and alone as tears come streaming down.
Last night I cried myself to sleep.....It's how my life has become crying in the wee hours wanting to know what is wrong with me. What is lost within me that I cant be loved in return.

Elmer The Elephant

Elmer The Elephant

It’s been a tough life for Elmer as she's been walking for miles on end; her trunk was starting to feel dry as she saw the little one walking side by side.
Her long trunk gently smacked against her little ones back that he stopped turning his head up towards his mother.
The little elephant stood still as he made his mother stopped too.
He looked at her with that face of curiosity that sparked his eyes.
"Mamma." The little elephants asked.
"Yes my little champ." Elmer replied.
"Do you think elephants goes to heaven.” The little one was anxiously looking at her with his eyes slightly tint to the sky.
"Yes they do." She says as they both started to hover near a Willow Tree keeping the heat away from them.
The little one sits and wait anticipated after his mother’s tales, she use to tell him a lot of tales of his ancestors out in Africa. He always thought that being out in the wild was much better than being in the zoo.
"Really." He starts to get exited.
"Son we are all created by God whether we elephant or lion. When your father left us to go up to heaven you were still a little champ."
"Is that why you call me champ." He asks.
"Yes smarty pants." She lifts up her trunk and brings the little one closer.
"But mamma why did he have to go so soon." He asks. She could hear that his voice started to quiver. And a lonely tear started to fall down his eye onto the ground as he lays his head down.
"Sweetheart it wasn't easy for him to leave us. He was very sick and there was nothing anyone could do." She said in a soft comforting voice.
She knew that one-day his going to grow up and wanting to know why all these years that it’s only been the two of them.
"Just know this that your father is watching over us from heaven. He is with you each and every day and he's so proud of the elephant you've become. Just know that whatever happens in this life that the next one you will always have a part of him inside of you." She makes sure he looked in her eyes that he would never have to feel less of his fathers love.
"Mamma I will see him one day won't I." He asked in that voice of a child wanting surety.
"Yes champ you will." She said.
"Yay now can we go get some food I'm starving." As they start to walk near the river just off the side of the riverbank.
Sometimes in life we go through hardships we lose love ones. And we always wonder why they leave us, will we see them again. As this little elephant got his answer that yes his father is up in heaven and that yes he will see him when it’s his time to go.
Life goes on, but it doesn't mean that the loved one you lost will be out of mind.

The end

This is my entry for Children's Literature. I based my story on just the elephant, and somehow i replaced the puppy with a baby elephant.
The Title of the story i give credit to my sister she gave me the name and the story is based on something I needed to express. I think we should teach kids the diversity of creativity whether its human or animals we were all created by God.

My Little Tree

My Little Tree

Once upon a time there was this little girl,
Her blonde wavy hair and blue eyes
Full of emotions as she watch her mother
Working in the garden, she walks up to her mom,
“Mommy can I help you.” She asked.
Her mom looks at her daughter with profoundness
In her eyes, that how her little girl has grown up
To become a beautiful princess.
That is what she calls her daughter.
“Yes princess, but I have a surprise for you.” She looks
At her mom as she scrunches her nose and pulls up her brow.
Mommy walked to the side of the garden to her shed
That her father built for her when she moved into
This house. She bend down and picked up the small
Plant that was the big surprise.
She wanted her daughter to have something
With value, something that she would
Look after for years to come,
And as the tree would grow so would her love
And blossom, as she would tell her
Little girl.
This is God’s creations just as you were when you
Were born.
She walked towards her daughter and the little girl’s eyes sparkled.
“Mommy is that for me, my own little tree.”
That is what makes the love of God grow is when we
Take care of his nature he has provided,
Just like the mother would fed her little girl,
To grow big and beautiful.
So will the little tree as it gets water
And grow big and strong.

I Remember

I Remember

I remember when I first met you, it wasn’t like all the others, I felt that I could trust you with what’s inside me, I couldn’t believe that I was opening my world to a complete stranger that I have never met in my life, or would possible never meet in real life.
Yes I do remember the chats we’ve once had. Surprisingly I had so much fun talking and responding to your emails back and forth. Something I never really do, but in your way of talking I could honestly feel that I could trust you, for one, you didn’t know me, and two; we weren’t ever going to meet.
We spoke so much about everything and anything.
I now know why we had that bond.
Maybe God has a bigger plan for me than I had for myself. Like this journey never ends. Like you were sent to me because I'm sick. To help me through all that I have.
But it all ended a year ago. Sometimes I wonder if you were real, if you were just a fantasy that came to my rescue, someone who knew things about my life and what type of person I am.
See even though I still remember you, and you aren’t no longer a part of this life.
We created so many memories, even though they were just online my online friend.

My Internet Friend

I remember the day we met
And how we met,
You reviewed on my story
And out of that grew something else
I finally found a friend
In our messaging back and forth,
I remember sitting up in the early
Hours of the morning waiting on your reply
You didn’t know at first from what country
I was from, eventually we shared
More details on where we from,
As I was on the search for a new home,
You calm me and said,
“Don’t rush you will just know
Once you step into your new home”
you were so right,
it took a lot of houses to make me feel
that thing you spoke about.
As the coming weeks began
We no longer called each other
On our screen names, but our birth names.
You were someone I truly thought
Was amazing no doubt,
I became more and more interested in you,
My daily life was filling space where
We get to speak.
Oh how I miss those nights
Sitting on face book chatting
Until the wee hours of the morning,
The first time we heard each other’s voice
Made me know you even more real
Thank I’ve thought.
We’ve become instant best friends.
You were what I looked out to daily<
Having a smile on my face as I would receive
And incoming message from you.
My days were full of sunshine and hope.
Happiness and pleasure,
Cos of what you once meant to me.
We are now no longer friends.
Our bridges has been cut short,
I believe you were sending to me
From God, to help me with things
I couldn’t accept of myself,
You saw something in me,
You saw greatness inside of me.
Yet our paths was only allowed to met
For the next phase of our lives,
So go on my dear Internet friend,
May our paths be full of joy and hope?
Till we meet in another life,
Smiling and happier than ever before.

This poem just drove in my head, I guess sometimes words find you when you least expect them too. She’s not the only online friend I have made, there are so many, and thankfully there part in my life isn’t over. Its like a script, when a director gives it to the actors, each one partake the part they are portraying and as the story goes son, you will note that as the story moves along, somehow along the way, some of the characters will disappear. If you the reader you will note this and you would ask, but what happened to that girl or that boy, are they ever making an appearance again. Well as all stories you may never see that person, somewhere along the way, the scriptwriter has written this character out seeing as there bit or there part in the story has come to an end, they have done what they were there for and no its time too move on.
Lucky for me the others like my old friend who were once upon my best friend, her part in my life came to an end, its like relationships, once you broken up there is no place for you to be in that persons life, even though you would love to be, but that isn’t how life works.

“We can never turn back the pages of time, though we may wish to relive a happy moment, or say goodbye just one last time, we never can, because the sands of time continue to fall, and we can’t turn the hourglass over.” – Unknown

“The Tao Te Ching says, when I let go of what I am, I become what I might be. When I let go of what I have, I receive what I need. Have you ever struggled to find work or love, only to find them after you have given up? This is the paradox of letting go. Let go, in order to achieve. Letting go is God’s law.” – Mary Manin Morrissey

“We take a risk when we open our hearts because the truth is, if we open our hearts, we will get hurt. You can’t open your heart and not have some hurt because you’re in a human experience. Even if it’s the love of your life and you have many wonderful, deepening, growing, powerful years together, it’s a human experience and that person will pass over. Love takes courage. Be courageous.”

The Rain is falling down

The Rain is falling down

The rain is falling down
And you stand there not moving,
Your tears are burning your cheeks,
But if you show them your weakness
They laugh at you seeing you just a fake.
Lost and alone she is in this world
Trying to find herself,
She fights daily this inner battle,
Guarding her heart from those whose hurt her,
She gives up and lies down not fight for what she deserves,
Drowning in her sorrow, she tried to reach out,
But it just came crashing down on her
She stands through her pain,
Wanting a helping hand,
But how can she when the pain she is living
With is drowning her battle to be alive
To walk with her head held high and make
Use of what’s left of this world.
Her face up to the clouds
Water crashing down,
She falls to her knees,
The tears never stopping burning her face,
Asking for penitence, laying her heart out
Trying to get her life,
To stop the fears that is whispering in her ear,
With holding her from the peace,
That she deserves, stand up they say,
Chanting lift up your head, stop the tears from falling,
But they just don’t know what she is wrestling with,
The hurt, the anger, the pain, the love lost.
God please through all this pain, the weakness within her,
Give her strength make her see that what’s lost can be found.
This is a girl, who is trying so hard to face life daily,
Being the good person she is, but people break her down,
Taking and taking from her, never receiving,
Here she is God wanting to change her frown into a smile.
She wants to be found; the only way is stop running away.
